Frankfurt News
Guten Tag,
visitors of the Main metropolis have many exciting attractions to look forward to this summer. They may choose to dance the night away during a cruise upon the majestic River Main, to chill out at a lofty beach club set high above the city streets, to enjoy a cold beer at Frankfurt’s only brewhouse, to sample the locals’ beverage of choice at the Apple Wine Festival or to shake a leg on the visitors’ terrace of Frankfurt’s international airport. The absolute highlight of the season, however, is the new Frankfurt old town, which is – with all renovation and reconstruction work recently completed – now fully open to the general public.

Many first-time visitors of “City Beach” have been heard to say that, upon arrival, they felt like they’d been suddenly teleported to a faraway Mediterranean beach. Featuring palm and olive trees, wicker beach chairs, hammocks and recliners, the club reminds of a scenic stretch of Sicilian seaside. For those feeling a bit more active, there’s a beach volleyball court and two swimming pools. The rooftop location’s breathtaking views of the Frankfurt skyline are particularly impressive and make for a very picturesque backdrop.
