Green Sauce Day

Seven herbs – borage, chervil, cress, parsley, salad burnet, sorrel and chives – make up the ingredients of Frankfurt's original Green Sauce. Not just the annual Green Sauce Festival, which takes place at the Roßmarkt each May, is dedicated to Frankfurt's favourite dish, but also the Green Sauce Day. Precisely 231,775 servings of Green Sauce need to be consumed on 06 June in order to gain a world record title for the city. Countless restaurants, schools, companies and initiatives are taking part in an effort to achieve this goal together with locals and visitors of Frankfurt. And you can be part of it as well!

The fun-fair features a colourful entertainment programme held on various stages as well as a delicious culinary range. The highlight of the traditional festival is the Tuesday after Whitsuntide.
